Job Overview:

As Head of Operations, you will take full ownership of the strategic and operational delivery of ICTS’s UK Corporate Security and Data Centre contracts. This pivotal role demands a seasoned leader capable of managing complex stakeholder environments, ensuring high-performance service delivery, and maintaining direct financial oversight. You will act as a key strategic partner to our clients, driving operational excellence, innovation, and business growth, while championing ICTS’s core values and client-aligned leadership principles. A critical aspect of the role will involve direct line management of a team who manage Corporate Security and Data Centre contracts, providing leadership, direction, and performance oversight to ensure operational consistency across all locations. Working closely with regional teams, you will embed best practices across quality assurance, training, and administration to deliver consistent, high-quality results.

Principal Accountabilities

• Lead all aspects of corporate security contract delivery across the UK, ensuring high performance against KPIs and SLAs.

• Provide line management to a team of Corporate Security and Data Centre managers, ensuring strong leadership, coaching, and performance development across operational teams.

• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.

• Regular travel across the UK is expected to attend client meetings, visit operational sites, and engage directly with regional teams to maintain visibility and ensure service excellence.

• Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and service innovations, guiding clients on future-proof solutions.

• Ensure governance, compliance, and risk management standards are consistently upheld across all contracts, with particular attention to regulatory obligations and client-specific requirements.

• Partner with internal ICTS teams to ensure cohesive operations, including recruitment, training, HR, finance, H&S and compliance.

• Take direct responsibility for the financial health of corporate and data centre operations, including budget control, payroll, invoicing, and month-end reporting.

• Drive performance through robust reporting and regular reviews, offering clear insights and recommendations to the Divisional Director.

• Develop and implement operational and strategic performance targets, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

• Support business development efforts, including bid and tender submissions, with well articulated commercial and operational cases.  

• Promote an inclusive, respectful, and values-driven culture across the workforce, aligned with our diversity and equality commitments.

• Collaborate with regional and central teams to ensure staffing models meet contract expectations and resource requirements.

• Lead on crisis and incident response management, ensuring robust procedures are in place and regularly tested to safeguard people, assets, and operations.

• Champion health and safety excellence, maintaining a culture of vigilance and ensuring adherence to statutory and company safety protocols.

• Role model emotional intelligence and a growth mindset, encouraging resilience, adaptability, and continuous personal and professional development across the team.

• Contribute to ICTS’s wider strategic planning, offering insights and operational feedback to shape long-term goals and business development priorities.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Senior-level experience in operations management within the security or related service industry sectors.

• Demonstrable success in managing multi-site contracts and leading large, dispersed teams across various locations.

• Strong track record of effective client relationship management, with the ability to build strategic partnerships and influence at senior levels.

• Proven financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, payroll oversight, and financial reporting.

• Experience supporting business development activities, such as contributing to tenders, bids, or client proposals. • In-depth understanding of contract compliance, KPIs/SLAs, and risk management within regulated environments.

• Experience in change management and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with high emotional intelligence and stakeholder awareness.

• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK as required.

• Knowledge of relevant security regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry standards.

Desired:

• Full UK driving licence.

• Professional qualifications in security management, business administration, or operational leadership.

• Experience working in or alongside technology-led service environments, with awareness of emerging security innovations.
