Role Overview
The Security Supervisor (Nights) is responsible for leading and managing all night-time security operations at a high-profile corporate site. The role requires a strong leadership presence, ensuring the delivery of exceptional security and customer service aligned to ICTS standards and client expectations.
The Supervisor will ensure a secure, safe, and elite level customer-focused environment, maintaining high standards of presentation, professionalism, and vigilance, whilst proactively identifying and mitigating risks across site.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Take responsibility for the security operation during night shifts, acting as the senior on-site decision maker, seeking advice and escalating in line with site processes where necessary.
- Ensure all Assignment Instructions, Client Protocols, Risk Assessments and Client Expectations are followed at all times.
- Maintain a strong, visible leadership presence across all areas and buildings including gatehouse, reception, communal areas and patrol routes.
- Ensure effective shift handovers with clear communication of risks, incidents, and operational priorities.
Customer Service & Client Standards
- Deliver and promote exceptional levels of customer service in line with a high-profile corporate environment.
- Ensure all interactions with staff, visitors, contractors, and stakeholders are professional, courteous, and security conscious.
- Act as the on-site representative of ICTS, maintaining high service standards at all times.
- Support a “security through service” approach, balancing safety, service, and discretion.
Proactive Risk Identification (Early Warning Focus)
- Maintain continuous situational awareness across the site to identify early warning signs of:
- Equipment or system alerts and malfunctions
- Water leaks or potential flooding
- Fire risks or hazards
- Building or infrastructure issues
- Ensure all issues are promptly managed, reported, escalated, and recorded, preventing escalation into incidents.
- Take immediate action to make safe where appropriate and ensure correct escalation routes are followed.
Site Standards & Asset Protection
- Ensure high standards of site security and presentation are consistently maintained, including:
- Doors and windows secured when not in use
- Unauthorised access points closed and controlled
- Lights switched off where not required
- General housekeeping and security posture maintained overnight
- Identify and challenge any lapses in standards, ensuring corrective action is taken.
- Support energy efficiency and asset protection through vigilant monitoring of the site environment.
Security Operations & Patrols
- Oversee all internal and external patrols in accordance with site protocols.
- Ensure patrols are carried out effectively, recorded accurately, and any findings are actioned.
- Supervise access control procedures, including vehicle and pedestrian entry.
- Ensure gatehouse and reception operations are conducted professionally and securely and with exceptional customer service.
Incident Management
- Lead the response to all security and safety incidents occurring during the shift.
- Ensure incidents are handled in accordance with company procedures and client expectations.
- Complete and review detailed incident reports ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Liaise with emergency services and escalate to management when required.
Team Supervision & Welfare
- Supervise, support, train and develop all officers on shift.
- Conduct regular welfare checks and performance monitoring throughout the night.
- Ensure officers remain alert, professional, and engaged in their duties.
- Deliver shift briefings, ensuring clear understanding of priorities and expectations.
Compliance & Assurance
- ICTS policies and procedures

- Maintain accurate records including patrol logs, access control records, and incident reports.
- Support audits and ensure operational readiness at all times.
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

- Maintain effective communication with:

- Provide clear and concise shift reports, highlighting:
- Incidents and actions taken
- Emerging risks or concerns
- Site standards and compliance issues
- Escalate critical issues promptly and appropriately.
