This is an ad hoc position covering annual leave and absence, hours of work may vary but shift patterns are normally 12 hours duration, covering Monday – Sunday.   

As part of a small team, you will need to be flexible to support your colleagues. 

Substantial experience as a Corporate Security Officer is essential, and to succeed in this role you will also need:

  • Perform Security Duties in line with site procedures. To include patrols of site, reporting of issues, static security posts, control room cover and pass administration where required,
  • Assist the Security Control Room Supervisor in all their duties,
  • Act in emergency situations (e.g. fire evacuation or medical emergency) and administer First Aid and AED if required,
  • Managing access to the site in line with policies and procedures,
  • Ensure the safety and protection of the people, visitors, vendors, property, reputation and information of the client at all times, in a knowledgeable and service-oriented manner, ensuring an unobtrusive and comfortable environment,
  • Demonstrate the core brand values and culture of both the client and ICTS, always promoting a positive image of both,
  • Ensure a groomed and professional appearance at all times in line with Site procedures and Front of House standards,
  • Produce and maintain any relevant, required documentation in support the operations (logbook, patrol reports, incident reports, etc.),
  • Proactively refer to and review the procedures, familiarising yourself with any changes and provide suggestions to improve or enhance the level of service,
  • Participate in training which is in place to achieve and maintain the level of service,
  • Collaborative approach to working with other internal Client departments to ensure smooth, seamless operations,
  • Maintain an alert and vigilant approach at all times, to determine any potential threats or changes within the work environment and take the appropriate steps in order to reduce disruption, loss or damage,
  • Proactively promote security awareness,
  • Identify, mitigate, respond and escalate to the Security Control Room any security threats / risks / incidents including suspect mail packages, bomb threats, surveillance, dawn raid, intruders, etc,
  • Conduct searches of staff and property in line with local regulation, best practice and security certification in the very rare instances this may be required,
  • Undertaking other reasonable security functions as required by the security management team and client.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • 5 years checkable background,
  • 3-5 years of experience in the corporate security industry,
  • Documentation to prove eligibility to work within the UK, if applicable,
  • Excellent command of English – both verbal and written,
  • Computer literacy,
  • SIA License (Security & CCTV),
  • First Aid at Work,
  • Experience in a Concierge/Hosting/Customer facing role within the corporate environment,
  • Flexible, professional attitude and adept at working under pressure,
  • Customer oriented with a passion for high-level service,
  • Proactive approach, whilst maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times,
  • Self-aware and motivated, able to participate in teams fully to achieve results,
  • Neat and professional personal presentation,
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office,
  • Proven track record of reliability and good time keeping,
  • Team focused with a strong sense of mutual respect and support for colleagues.
